The written report Helen produced was thorough and comprehensive. She pointed out the stronger and weaker points of our house, advised on which points to stress in the sales particulars, which local Estate Agents had the right profile to suit the house and the area, etc. Helen also worked with us to improve the Estate Agents’ first draft of the sales brochure.
Both indoors and out, Helen was able to suggest numerous changes we had not considered. For example, we had no formal dining room and so – thanks to a few eBay purchases – we set one up in a little-used living room. Our redundant ‘playroom’ was transformed into a smart home office; a crucial selling point for our eventual buyer who needed to work from home.
With great charm and diplomacy, Helen advised on staging each room at little extra cost in terms of new household items: she knew just how to use what we already had. Helen’s wealth of experience really counted as she thinned down the ornaments, reduced the clutter, ‘calmed’ each room and unified the colours simply by the use of a few fluffy towels, a pretty bedspread, and so on.
It was a very successful and painless experience at a relatively low cost. Once all was done, and our Estate Agent was given the go-ahead, our home looked great. It sold to the first viewer, for a higher price than we expected, fully justifying the modest cost of Helen’s help. That’s success in our eyes! We thoroughly recommend The Property Styling Company.”
